We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Sewing Machinist . In this role, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced production environment where your skills directly impact the quality of the finished goods. Based in Ilkeston

Duties

• Operate a walking foot machine with precision and efficiency to manufacture piped scatter cushions
• Follow detailed instructions and specifications to ensure consistent quality across all products.
• Inspect finished work for defects, irregularities, or inconsistencies, making adjustments as needed to maintain high standards.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining safety protocols in the workspace.

Experience

• Proven experience operating a walking foot sewing machine in a manufacturing or garment construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing piped cushions
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, patterns, or instructions clearly.
• Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality finished products under tight deadlines.

What’s in it for you-

• Initially a 10 week role, this could become a permanent position
• Working7.30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday, with an option to work Friday 7.30am – 12.30pm
• Pay £12.90- £15.00 per hour
